Job summary

Spectrum Youth and Family Services seeks a part-time Young Adult Peer Navigator to assist transition-age young adults in navigating community resources and services. The role emphasizes multicultural outreach, youth leadership support, and collaboration with the YIT and MYP programs.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), comfort with travel, and the ability to work up to 20 hours weekly at $21.63/hour. Prior experience with youth services is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college in human services preferred.
• Understanding of issues facing target population (homelessness, health, etc.) and barriers for multicultural youth.
• Commitment to diversity across gender, race, age, and religion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; willingness to receive supervision and feedback.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach to transition-age young adults, focusing on multi-cultural youth.
• Identify resources and support through MYP and YIT Leadership Team.
• Organize and support Spectrum's Youth Action Board.
• Use social media to reach out and provide information to young adults.
• Assist with development and maintenance of ImpactVT.org and the resource guide.
