Job summary

JM Davidson Inc in Texas seeks a Multicraft Helper to provide general labor support across mechanical, civil and structural crews on industrial construction sites.

You will assist skilled workers, transport materials, prepare work areas, and help with site setup and teardown while following safety procedures and PPE requirements. Over time, you may take on additional tasks as directed by supervisors to maintain productivity.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled trades (carpenters, ironworkers, pipefitters, equipment operators) as directed
• Transport, load, and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Prepare and clean work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Hold materials and tools for craft workers during installation
• Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, digging, and assembling under supervision
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely
• Assist with site layout, setup, and teardown activities
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
• Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job site
• Safety Attendant (Fire Watch / Hole Watch)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing

• Exposure to heavy equipment, noise, dust, and concrete materials
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• May require overtime, weekends, and travel
