Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs in Columbus, OH seeks a maintenance technician to support production and maintenance activities within a heavy manufacturing setting. You will operate overhead cranes, perform mechanical and electrical servicing, and uphold quality and safety standards on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certificate or 2+ years in technical school can qualify.
• Experience: manufacturing or military service preferred.

Summary Of Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, OR
• 4+ years of military experience, OR
• 2+ years of technical school with certificate.
• Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
• Overtime may be required.
• Capable of standing on concrete for 8+ hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training or certifications in industrial maintenance or electrical systems.
• Experience in steel or heavy manufacturing environments.
