The J.M. Smucker Company is seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our Decatur, AL facility. You will troubleshoot automated systems, own equipment reliability, and design/restorations while maintaining thorough documentation and data analysis to sustain performance.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level knowledge of electrical and control systems.
• Willingness to work on a 12-hour 2-2-3 shift rotation, fixed days or nights.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment and follow Safety Rules & GMPs.
• Capable of leading and directing a crew of contractors in planned jobs.
• Demonstrated teamwork and clear communication in project settings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot automated systems including PLCs, electrical components, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic interrelations.
• Improve plant equipment reliability and prevent breakdowns through proactive maintenance.
• Document and analyze data as part of sustaining equipment reliability.
• Lead restoration/repair projects with a focus on reliability-centered maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure on-time, safe completion of maintenance tasks.
