Prysmian Jackson in Jackson, TN, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support mechanical and electrical maintenance across a 135,000 sq-ft facility. The role requests breakdown resolution, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with operations to ensure equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Candidate must currently be a Maintenance Technician.
• Working knowledge of modern automated manufacturing systems.
• Basic understanding of AC/DC motors and controls.
• Ability to complete shift work orders and PM work orders.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Fork Truck/Boom Lift certification required.
• Must meet PPE and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Champion for Safety and Prysmian.
• Spend ~60% of time on breakdowns and projects; ~40% on Preventative Maintenance tasks.
• Understand facility equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with operations to identify issues and provide high-quality resolutions.
• Demonstrate urgency, analytical judgment, initiative, and composure under pressure.
• Develop mechanical and electrical control abilities and understand how equipment affects product properties.
• Maintain professional communication with team members, supervisors, mentors, and engineers.
• Exercise independent decision making and provide leadership to learners.
• Complete tasks as directed by operations supervisor or manager.
