Role Overview: A Multicraft Journeyman (welder/fitter/mechanic) is a highly skilled tradesperson proficient in multiple disciplines, capable of performing various tasks across different crafts.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Focus on safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and P&ID’s.
  • Position, align, and secure parts and assemblies using measuring tools.
  • Perform welding using GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes.
  • Proficient in butt & socket welds for carbon steel & stainless steel, threaded pipes, PVC/CPVC, and copper soldering.
  • Familiar with Pro & Mega Press Mechanical Piping.
  • Operate hand and power tools, inspect equipment, and report malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with team members and ensure work compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Travel to multiple locations across Delaware, New Jersey, PA, and Maryland.
  • Work overtime, alternate shifts, and be available for emergencies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; related trade school experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pipe/welding industry.
  • Experience with GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and qualifying for D1.1 structural welds, including pipe welding in 6-G position per AWS standards.
  • Proficiency in reading welding symbols, work packages, and blueprints.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA/10 safety training (up-to-date preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various physical positions.
Work Conditions
  • 8-hour shifts with potential overtime and weekend work.
  • Exposure to industrial environments requiring PPE.
  • Work in indoor and outdoor settings, at heights, and on uneven surfaces.
