Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Utilityman to support maintenance and custodial work across multiple powerhouses and facilities. The role involves hands-on duties, transporting parts, and assisting diverse crews to keep operations safe and efficient.

The position is on-site with travel across the Valley Substation region. A clean driving record (Class C) and willingness to work in industrial settings are required. This is a frontline role contributing to a cleaner energy future.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General custodial work experience in hands‑on environments.
• Valid Class C driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance and custodial duties within powerhouses and related facilities, including cleaning, organizing work areas, and trash removal.
• Maintain structures and grounds, including general housekeeping and upkeep of assigned facilities.
• Transport parts, materials, and supplies between powerhouses, warehouses, and work locations.
• Support electricians, mechanics, operators, and other crews by providing general assistance as needed.
• Provide logistical support, including occasional meal shuttling during extended or outage work.
• Observe equipment and facilities and report abnormal conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and comply with safety and operational requirements.
