Job Description

Pacific Coast Hospitality has been retained to search for a Multi-Unit General Manager for our client, owner and operator of two eclectic and historic properties in northeast Portland, both built in the 1940’s in the aftermath of the tragic Vanport flood that devastated the area.

You will be responsible for overseeing a staff of 50+ people with help from department managers and leads. Includes hiring, firing (rare), performance reviews and maintaining rapport with staff. Responsible for all facets of operating the business, overseeing FOH, BOH, environment, maintenance, cost control, P&L, payroll, etc. with appropriate help from other managers and support staff. Guest, staff and vendor relations are of utmost importance. Understanding, appreciating and celebrating the diversity of this neighborhood is mandatory.

RequirementsIdeal candidate will have the following:

  • 5 years’ experience working in a restaurant / bar leadership role (Manager, AGM or GM)
  • Highly engaged front of house personality
  • Experience in product ordering and team member scheduling
  • Someone who builds genuine rapport naturally, with guests and team members alike
  • Passion for developing and mentoring a team
  • Track record of achieving financial results
  • Long term experience without bouncing around every year or two
  • Highly Organized
  • Very positive attitude

Salary Range & Benefits

  • Salary – $50k – $75k (starting, based on experience level)
  • Highly obtainable Profit Share Program worth $20k annually
