Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform multi-trades maintenance and repair work on NHG buildings and equipment at the Norfolk facilities.

Responsibilities include planning work from drawings and blueprints, using plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting skills, and coordinating with supervisors as needed.

Successful candidates have relevant trade experience and the ability to work from plans with safety and quality in mind.

Qualifications

• One year of general maintenance experience.
• Three years of specialized general maintenance experience across trades (air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting).

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repairs across multiple trades in NHG buildings and equipment.
• Plans and lays out work from drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
• Repairs plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting systems as required.
