Job summary

KDC Construction is seeking a Skilled Tradesperson to perform on-site labor across plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring, roofing, painting, framing, drywall, and finishing tasks for doors, windows, cabinetry. You will operate hand and power tools and travel between worksites, supporting multiple trades on projects from ground-up to remodels.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma or equivalent, basic trade experience, and a practical mindset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and general trade experience in major trades: plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring, roofing, painting, framing, drywall, and finishing skills for doors, windows, and cabinetry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possesses tools required to perform job functions.
• Organized and dependable team player with solid communication skills.
• Friendly and positive attitude towards change.
• Able to identify and resolve issues by removing barriers and know-how to make things happen.
• Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people.
• Has common sense and applied logic.
• Must possess (or obtain) an appropriate state driver license before employment, a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tasks in trades including plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring, roofing, painting, framing, drywall, and finishing skills for doors, windows, and cabinetry; installs fixtures including windows, roofing, flooring, trim, tile, ceiling tile, hardware, heating, and ventilation.
• Performs framing tasks including wood/metal, drywall, fiberglass reinforced plastic, and T-Bar.
• Operates and maintains tools and equipment including drills, saws, nail guns, hammers, and shovels.
• Travels to different worksites to complete required tasks and projects.
• Projects may require a response to 24/7 emergency coverage.
• Maintains a clean job site to eliminate possible hazards.
• Responsible for working safely, adhering to all aspects of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program.
• Organizes building material; loads and unloads trucks.
• May assist other workers on construction and preconstruction assignments.
• Reads instructions, specifications, and plans to determine work activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
