Job summary

Central Health in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to advance patient-centered specialty care in a collaborative, team-based environment. This role requires at least two years of ambulatory clinic or hospital nursing experience, a TX RN license, and BLS certification; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years nursing experience in an ambulatory clinic or hospital setting.
• Unrestricted RN license in Texas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the patient’s care team to optimize clinical outcomes.
• Oversees assigned team, including establishing work assignments and staffing flow.
• Assesses the physical, social, and emotional needs of patients and families in clinics.
• Educates patient and family members on diagnosis, treatments, procedures, and medications.
• Participates in daily patient care huddles and supports timely patient flow.
