Qualifications

• Knowledge of health insurance and billing regulations, including Medicaid, Medicare, and special rules regarding FQHC status.
• Experience with EHR systems, preferably ECW.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Accurate data entry skills.
• Understanding of Medical Terminology, ICD and CPT coding.
• Familiar with HIPAA requirements.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Works well independently, as well as a part of a team.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interacting with insurance companies and patients regarding accounts, past due balances, unpaid claims, and other billing-related items, so strong communication skills are a must.
