Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician/Generalist

Job Overview

As a CBRE Multi-skilled Technician, you will perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. This role supports the Engineering and Technical Services function, focusing on equipment and system support, preventive maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and execute repairs.
  2. Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  3. Review work orders, estimate required time and materials, and manage work completion using available systems.
  4. Support energy management by ensuring efficient operation of all building systems.
  5. Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws; report violations.
  6. Utilize existing procedures to resolve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
  7. Perform duties, methods, and tasks as described in detailed procedures.
  8. Follow defined procedures and processes to deliver quality output under supervision.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, trade school diploma, or equivalent with 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Physical ability to meet role requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting/carrying loads over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow work routines and standards.
  • Effective communication skills for exchanging straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and inquisitive attitude.
