Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative (Plumber / Carpenter bias)

Using a company van to travel from your home to our pubs and restaurants in the Tyseley/Solihull area.

Looking for a better work-life balance? No evening or weekend work is required in this role, nor is there an on-call rota – life is for living after all! Flexible working hours are also available, enabling you to fit work around your personal commitments…

Please note: we are looking for someone who lives in Tyseley/Solihull or within 5 miles to apply. You would not be selected for interview if you live too far away from this destination.

The Opportunity – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative

Working independently as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative, you’ll use a company van to travel to pubs and restaurants in the Tyseley/ Solihull area (you’ll be allocated approximately sites to look after), to deliver general maintenance works including:

  • Basic cold-water plumbing, fixing toilet flushes and leaking pipes
  • Woodwork and joinery
  • Painting and decorating
  • Floor and wall tiling
  • Pest proofing
  • Occasional larger works such as fence replacements, fitting of kitchens and bathrooms

You’ll manage parts ordering, van stock, and your workload, logging all jobs on the IT system (training provided). Use your people skills to build relationships with managers and ensure they know how to get the best from your service.

There are no call outs, evening or weekend work, providing a great work-life balance.

Requirements
  • Experience in a multi-skilled trade, including plumbing/joinery, or a main trade such as plumbing or carpentry
  • Full UK driving license
  • Flexible and customer-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines

Experience in retail maintenance or self-employment is advantageous but not essential.
