Job summary

Boys and Girls Club of Lake County is seeking an Area Manager to provide direct multi-site leadership and operational oversight for our Club locations. You will ensure program quality, staff performance, responsible resource use, and safe compliant operations.

Working with the Chief Program Officer, you will supervise and develop Program Managers through regular site visits, coaching, and CQI. This role requires strong leadership and travel across Lake County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in youth development, nonprofit leadership, program management, or multi-site operations.
• Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff, including performance management and accountability.
• Ability to travel between sites throughout Lake County and accommodate occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across sites to ensure safe, structured, welcoming, high-quality environments.
• Directly supervise and coach Program Managers through goal setting, observations, and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with BGCA standards, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
• Review dashboards and reports in MyClubHub to monitor attendance, enrollment, and youth outcomes.
• Build relationships with school partners, families, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
• Collaborate with department leaders to plan budgets, staffing, and cross-site improvements.
