Job summary

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Multi-Site Service Technician to support Horizon North, Sentio, & Velaire at Aspera in Phoenix & Glendale, AZ. You will handle maintenance repairs and upkeep, delivering five-star service to residents and teams.

The role requires multitasking across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and appliance repairs with a strong customer-service focus. On-call rotation adds incentive pay and certification pay opportunities.

Qualifications

• General knowledge across multiple trade areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance repair.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and complete repairs.
• Excellent customer service and communication for residents and team members.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, able to work independently and manage priorities.
• EPA, HVAC, CPO, or other industry-specific certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix minor HVAC, appliance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall issues.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on vacant units.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure safety and chemical balance.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and inform Facilities and Service Manager.
• Share on-call duty with the Manager of Facilities and Service and be on-call in uniform/badge.
• Monitor inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• General knowledge across multiple trade areas such as: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance repair, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, determine appropriate solutions, and complete repairs efficiently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a commitment to delivering a five-star experience for residents and team members.
• Service-oriented mindset with the ability to respond to resident needs professionally, promptly, and with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to take initiative, manage priorities, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and maintaining high community standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and vendors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance or property management software preferred.
• EPA, HVAC, CPO, or other industry-specific certifications preferred.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
