Responsibilities

• Screen students to identify those with a speech/language disorder.
• Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for identified students.
• Conduct speech/language therapy services according to IEP requirements.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of communication disorders

Working knowledge of federal laws and guidelines

Education

Bachelor Degree in Speech/Language Pathology

Master degree in Speech/Language Pathology

Certification as a Speech/Language Pathologist

Licensed in Louisiana as a Speech/Language Pathologist
