Alamance Foods Inc. is seeking a Sanitation Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across multiple facility sites in Burlington, NC. The role requires traveling between locations and adhering to food safety standards and GMP guidelines.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment safely. Nights, weekends, and shift rotations may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in sanitation, custodial, or janitorial work (food manufacturing environment a plus).
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling, cleaning procedures, and sanitation best practices.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between multiple sites as required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and shift rotations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production areas, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common spaces at multiple sites.
• Safely handle and properly use cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and equipment according to company and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor and restock cleaning and sanitation supplies across all assigned locations.
• Remove trash, recyclables, and waste from designated areas and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
• Conduct floor care (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing) and maintain sanitary conditions in both production and non-production spaces.
• Support pest-prevention efforts by maintaining cleanliness standards and promptly addressing sanitation concerns.
• Follow GMPs, OSHA, and food safety compliance requirements.
• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation issues to site supervisors or management promptly.
• Travel between assigned facilities as scheduled, ensuring consistent service and cleanliness standards are met.
