Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Eveleth, MN seeks a Mine Engineering Manager to lead mine planning and engineering across Minnesota operations. You will provide strategic leadership for planning, budgets, safety, cost control, and continuous improvement while helping drive safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of leadership in mine planning, mine engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• ATF certification.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead teams in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead short- and long-range mine plans and operating budgets.
• Provide leadership and direction to engineering and operations teams.
• Drive projects to improve efficiency, productivity, and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies, site procedures, regulatory requirements, and CBAs.
• Evaluate equipment needs and participate in procurement of new mining equipment.
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements for productivity and cost effectiveness.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support employee development and performance management.
• Coordinate safety, risk management, and loss control initiatives.
• Negotiate and administer royalty agreements with landowners and fee holders.
