Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist in patient examinations and treatment under physician direction. Core responsibilities include chart preparation, vital signs, and documentation in the EMR, with attention to patient confidentiality and accurate pre-visit tasks.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years MA experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to travel between offices as needed; Certified/Registered MA preferred and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree and/or MA certification preferred.
• 2–5 years MA or related experience preferred.
• Skills: proficiency with EMR, scheduling, and Excel; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Document review of systems; record vital signs and medical history; update EMR.
• Prepare patient charts in EMR by scanning and reviewing results.
• Obtain information and respond to MyChart; answer calls and schedule.
• Operate EKG and phlebotomy; assist with supplies and room prep.
• Maintain a safe work environment and protect patient confidentiality.
• May assist in training new employees.
