Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in examinations and patient care. You will manage patient flow, document reviews, vital signs, and medical history updates, and ensure accurate EMR entries.

You will also handle chart preparation, medication refills, and coordination with pharmacies and insurers, while performing clinical tasks like EKGs and venipuncture as assigned. Strong computer skills and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant training or certification preferred.
• 2–5 years MA or relevant experience preferred; varied care settings beneficial.
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, EMR) and excellent communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow; document review, vitals, and medical history updates; update EMR.
• Prepare patient charts for visits; ensure all test results and records are in the chart.
• Refill medications and pre-authorize as needed; coordinate with pharmacy/insurance.
• Operate EKG, cardiac monitors, and other duties such as phlebotomy as assigned.
• Maintain safe, confidential environment and comply with legal requirements; support quality and patient experience.
