Multifamily Property Management

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include, but are not limited to: repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.); HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, yard upkeep). The technician must perform all duties following company policies and safety protocols, supporting the overall goal of meeting client expectations within the operating budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Client Relations: Execute the philosophies and wishes of the owner to ensure client objectives and expectations are met.
2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs for safety and economy, perform inspections, maintain grounds, and serve as on-call maintenance for emergencies.
3. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant apartments, assist with painting and appliance installation, and ensure timely turnover completion.
4. Equipment & Systems Maintenance: Repair community equipment, maintain inventory, and ensure safety and orderliness of maintenance areas.
5. Other Responsibilities: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, maintain professional appearance and communication, and uphold company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in residential property management, hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
• High School diploma or equivalent; technical school or CAMT certification preferred.
• Ability to wear a respirator and be medically cleared for duty.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Own tools may be required.
