Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years in construction or building maintenance.
• Trades certifications or licenses (Journeyman Plumber, Electrician, HVAC) preferred.
• Valid Ohio or Michigan driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant and Authority staff work orders and complete tasks promptly.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes, regulations, and policies.
• Perform carpentry repairs on walls, roofs, woodwork, doors and fixtures.
• Paint surfaces using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
• Repair or replace wiring, outlets, switches, fixtures; check gas leaks.
• Repair or replace plumbing fixtures and fittings.
• Conduct daily inspections of housing and grounds.
• Record materials, labor hours, and complete work order documentation.
• Maintain ground and vehicle maintenance equipment.
• Order supplies and manage inventory.
• Perform after-hours emergency service as scheduled.
• Follow OSHA/PERRP safety standards; perform other duties as assigned.
