Job summary

Project HOME, a nationally recognized nonprofit in Philadelphia, seeks a Facilities Technician to maintain properties, building systems, and equipment across multiple sites. This full-time role handles work orders, preventative maintenance, unit turnovers, inspections, and grounds upkeep.

Requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and related tasks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum two years in building or facilities maintenance.
Experience troubleshooting routine maintenance issues.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently.
Diagnose and repair routine maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
Perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, doors, locks, windows, fixtures, and tile work.
Document repairs using Yardi and Mobile Maintenance.
Ensure all work meets Project HOME standards and procedures.
Prepare vacant units for occupancy and conduct turnovers as scheduled.
Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and building equipment.
Perform grounds and exterior maintenance including snow removal.
Join on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.
