Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) seeks an EHS Multi-Site Leader to direct Environmental, Health, and Safety across designated sites in the US. You will drive the BU EHS strategy, align with Global Central EHS, and build site-level capability while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust incident investigations.

You will mentor site EHS leaders, manage governance for EHS metrics, and partner with central EHS and operations leadership to embed BD safety culture across the network.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel (~25-40%)
• Experience with GMP, ISO regulations and federal/state environmental and occupational safety regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication across all levels
• Leadership competencies including change management, teambuilding, servant leadership and talent development
• Works effectively in a team environment
• Solid computer skills: MS Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Responsibilities

• Owns development and leadership of the EHS BU Strategy
• Harmonizes BU strategy with Global Central EHS strategy and champions at BU level
• Implements roadmap to support operations and site EHS programs
• Oversees EHS resourcing and site level capability building across the network
• Leads recruitment for Site EHS Leaders and key EHS roles
• Maintains relationships with Site Directors and provides updates on site priorities
• Drives BD Excellence EHS components and maturity assessments
• Mentors sites and develops EHS leadership
• Onboards new EHS associates and coordinates with Central EHS
• Provides training to sites and leaders through Leaders as Teachers
• Primary point of contact for assigned sites
• Communicates EHS performance and improvements to leadership
• Supports and ensures timely closure of findings and actions
• Collaborates with Central EHS on policy development and risk review
• Establishes governance to track EHS metrics and progress
• Ensures audit readiness and data accuracy in EHS systems
