Job summary

ClearView Building Maintenance is seeking a Commercial Cleaning Floater in Mid-Michigan to support 50–60 facilities, travel between locations, and learn building-specific procedures. This role rewards initiative, adaptability, and problem solving.

You will cover open shifts at multiple commercial and medical facilities, perform cleaning tasks, and advance through ongoing training and development within a trusted, independent role.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to drive between locations nightly and work evenings/nights.
• Must work independently with minimal supervision.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds and stays active during shifts.
• Comfort with learning multiple buildings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Covering open shifts at multiple commercial and medical facilities.
• Cleaning and sanitizing offices, restrooms, breakrooms, exam rooms, and common areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care.
• Restocking supplies and maintaining janitor closets.
• Operating cleaning equipment such as backpack vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Locking/unlocking buildings and setting alarms.
• Learning building-specific procedures and expectations.
• Communicating with supervisors and operations staff during the night.
• Identifying maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assisting with inspections and quality control.
• Adapting to changing schedules and priorities.

Skills
