Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Manager to lead and support automation systems across multiple yarn extrusion, twisting, and heat-set manufacturing facilities.

This on-site role at the Aiken, South Carolina plant will coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and IT to drive continuous improvement and cybersecurity across sites. The position requires strong technical leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on support for capital projects, automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or manufacturing systems support.
• Experience with Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting; Siemens HMI systems; industrial networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for automation systems across multiple yarn manufacturing facilities.
• Lead automation-related capital projects from concept through commissioning, including budgeting, scheduling, and startup support.
• Manage relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and automation suppliers.
• Support data collection, reporting, and analytics platforms for data-driven decision making.
• Mentor plant maintenance, engineering, and controls personnel.
