Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. seeks a Nurse Manager to lead our acute dialysis unit, coordinating care with physicians and hospital staff across SUNY downtown, Crouse, Upstate Community Hospital and the pediatric outpatient program.

The role requires traveling between locations, with schedule of five 8‑hour shifts starting at 8am. Compensation ranges from $96,000 to $140,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits and paid training based on nursing and dialysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaison between hospital administration and DCI area leadership.
• Primary contact to the medical director and communicate with nephrologists regarding services and care provided.
• Evaluate and recommend patient care to physicians.
• Supervise nursing activities to ensure care is delivered as directed.
• Collaborate with local DCI nurse educator to deploy training and continuing education for staff.
• Mentor DCI Hospital Services staff.
• Oversee nursing care documentation, including medication and dialysis adjustments.
• Work with chief equipment technician on dialysis equipment maintenance and water treatment per industry standards.
• Communicate with discharge planners, case managers and outpatient dialysis units for smooth care transitions.
• Manage general nursing budget and equipment/supply recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of renal replacement therapy standards, ESRD and AKI concepts/principles, regulatory standards.
• Participate in DCI risk management and QAPI programs and attend meetings.
• Contribute to hospital quality management and infection control by providing information and attending meetings.

Education

Current NYRN license

Accredited nursing degree

Six months’ dialysis nursing experience in a hospital setting

Critical care nursing and supervisory experience
