Job summary

Courtyard Austin The Domain Area in Austin, TX is seeking an Area Director of Engineering to oversee maintenance for multiple properties. This role leads the engineering team, ensures preventive maintenance, and drives safe, efficient operations.

You will manage inspections, staff development, and coordination with housekeeping and property leadership. A background in trades and strong problem-solving are essential, with a focus on uptime and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Ability to convey information clearly and work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deep cleaning in line with the engineering PM program.
• Conduct walkthroughs of guestrooms and public areas using QUORE.
• Assist with annual reviews for engineering staff.
• Develop training for the market's engineering team.
• Manage QUORE reporting and training.
• Ensure safe and efficient hotel operations per Aimbridge standards.
