Qualifications

Position

Multi Modality Ultrasound Tech PRN – a partnership opportunity at Medical City Las Colinas, part of HCA Healthcare.

Job Summary

Performs quality ultrasound procedures under the guidance of a radiologist of all ages. Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment based on practice standards and radiation safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Compassionately assist and position patients.
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• Assess image quality and make adjustments when needed.
• Release the patient with proper post‑procedure instructions.
• Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential.
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT).
• High School Graduate / GED.
• Registered with ARDMS or registry eligible with ARDMS (must comply with ACR).
• If registry eligible, must become registered within two years of graduation from an accredited ultrasound program.
