Arnot Health is seeking a Multi-modality Technologist experienced in both Radiology and CT. This shift is Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Operates X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body under the supervision of a radiologist.

REPORTS TO: Radiology/Imaging Services Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Adjusts X-ray equipment to appropriate settings for the part to be examined.
2. Adjusts collimators to show visible cone cut off on all procedures.
3. Wears protective clothing as necessary.
4. Uses proper film size for the part to be examined.
5. Positions X-ray tube and patient at proper angles and distances to obtain clear and undistorted radiographs.
6. Able to perform satisfactory operation of all portable radiographic equipment.
7. Assists in record keeping and filing as time allows.
8. Assists in performing first aid as necessary.
9. Keeps work area neat and clean.
10. Maintains composure during crisis situations and responds appropriately.
11. Adheres to infection control, universal precautions, and safety policies.
12. Completes all aspects of assigned safety inspections within the designated timeframe.
13. Demonstrates safety in working habits and personal conduct.
14. Has working knowledge of Corporate Compliance regulations and reports any potential violations to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
15. Familiar with and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement principles, focusing on meeting customer service needs.
16. Maintains highest ethical standards regarding discretion and confidentiality.
17. Provides age-appropriate care to neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
18. Attends all annual mandatory educational programs as required.
19. May be required to work beyond scheduled hours based on department needs.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and licensure in New York. Current BLS certification required.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous hospital experience preferred.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Intermittent sitting, standing, and walking. Ability to work under stress.

EXPOSURE CATEGORY:

Category II. Tasks involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but unplanned Category I tasks may be performed.
