JOB SUMMARY
Works under minimal supervision with the physicians to perform two or more of the following areas: MRI, CT, US, Mammography, and/or Diagnostic Imaging. Responsibilities include exams, exam protocols, accreditation, operations, and facilitation of equipment maintenance.

POSITION TITLE: Multimodality Technologist, $10K Sign-On Bonus

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Required
  • Graduate from AMA-approved school
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, accredited by AHA or ARC, required upon hire
  • ARRT Radiography License by Texas Medical Board (excluding MRI), required upon hire
  • ARRT-CT License by Texas Medical Board, required upon hire
  • ARRT-MR License by Texas Medical Board, required upon hire
  • ARRT Mammography License by Texas Medical Board, required upon hire
  • ARRT Breast Sonography License by Texas Medical Board, required upon hire

Preferred

  • 2 years of relevant experience

Shift: Thu-Sun, 10AM-8:30PM, with on-call responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Review physician orders for accuracy, diagnosis, sedation, and applicability. Screen patients for allergies, contraindications, implants, metallic devices, foreign objects, and appropriateness. Discuss findings with radiologist and modify protocols as needed. Document changes appropriately.
  • Participate in patient hand-offs, interview patients, obtain medical history, explain procedures, and instruct patients. Assist physicians during procedures and ensure proper documentation and labeling of images.
  • Complete exam charges and image documentation promptly. Administer contrast agents and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams.
  • Perform daily and monthly quality control testing for compliance. Manage equipment service and maintenance, including archiving and storing images.
  • Perform post-processing on imaging data, including advanced techniques like 3D rendering and cardiac analysis. Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs.
  • Respond to inquiries professionally, communicate shift hand-offs, and participate in training new staff. Prioritize workload to ensure efficient workflow and minimal patient wait times. Adhere to hospital policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Engage in research activities as applicable, including interaction with research participants and management of research records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
