Job Summary:

The Multi-Modality Technologist performs imaging procedures according to established guidelines and assists in training new technologists. They work under the supervision of the Modality Supervisory Technologist and Modality Medical Director. Responsibilities include:

• Performing technical procedures within the modality sections as per the Radiology Policy Manual.
• Meeting technical competency requirements.
• Maintaining effective relationships with staff.
• Participating in professional education, safety initiatives, and quality improvement activities to ensure quality patient care and department efficiency.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification.
• Qualifications vary by modality and include:

For Computed Tomography Technologists:

• Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist license, and/or Nuclear Medicine license, and/or Radiation Therapy license, or ability to obtain certification by start date.
• ARRT registered certification in Radiography (RT) and Computed Tomography (RT-CT), or eligibility.

For Radiography Technologists:

• Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist license or eligibility.
• ARRT registered certification in Radiography (RT) or eligibility; must obtain within 12 months if recently graduated.

*Registered certification required only if needed for site accreditation.
