Job summary

CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region Urgent and Emergency Care in Colorado is seeking a Multi-Modality Tech II to provide quality patient imaging across two or more modalities, ensuring safety and compassion while adhering to radiation safety standards. You will operate multiple imaging systems, position patients, serve as a clinical resource to staff, and model current standards of practice.

Preferred candidates hold ARRT registry and at least two advanced certifications, with strong

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• One year imaging experience.
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• One of the listed advanced certs (e.g., ARRT(MR), ARDMS, RDCS+RVT, etc.).
• Another advanced cert (total of three radiology certs).
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures with safety for self, patients, and others.
• Produce high-quality images accurately and timely.
• Provide information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure.
• Act as assigned by management and perform technologist duties of other registered modalities.
• Observe patient and equipment during procedures and report any unusual occurrences.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Multi-Modality Tech II, you will provide quality patient care within two or more medical imaging departments, performing high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs and adhering to safe radiation practices.

Every day you will operate various imaging equipment, precisely position patients for different exams, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and serve as a role model for other associate technologists, consistently upholding current standards of practice for the unit.

To be successful in this role, you will possess advanced expertise in at least two medical imaging modalities, strong technical skills across multiple platforms, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and the ability to effectively communicate, lead, and provide compassionate patient care while serving as a clinical resource.

• Performs imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals.
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
• As assigned by management, performs technologist duties of other registered modality.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports / documents unusual occurrences and records patient's condition.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment problems and logs the service call/problem per department procedure.

$400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek or Lake Counties. Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a CommonSpirit Health- Mountain Region facility in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible). More details available upon offer.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) year imaging experience.
• Registered Radiology Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• One (1) of the following advanced certs: ARRT(MR); ARDMS, RDCS+RVT; ARDMS, RCS+RVT; ARDMS, RDMS+RVT; ARRT, RT(S)+RT(S)(VS); ARRT(N); NMTCB
• One (1) additional advanced cert (for a total of three (3) certs in radiology).
• Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
