Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for night shift duties in Radiology, CT, and MRI, with potential Hybrid OR responsibilities in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities include performing imaging procedures, assisting physicians, and coordinating daily workflow within the department.

Candidates must have ARRT certification, AZ CRT licensure, and BLS. At least 10 months CT/MRI or 1 year general radiology experience is preferred; high school diploma required with associates preferred.

Qualifications

• Must perform duties in Radiology with CT or MRI as a minimum two modality experience.
• Experience with Hybrid OR and general Radiology duties preferred.
• ARRT certification required; AZ CRT license required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions for at least two modalities (Radiology, CT, MRI) and Hybrid OR as needed.
• Assist physicians during procedures as directed and ensure proper documentation.
• Operate and quality-check imaging equipment and manage image management systems.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the supervisor, this position must perform all functions related to a minimum of two modalities: including CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Must perform all functions related to a minimum of two of the following modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.
• Assists physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines as demonstrated by documentation.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing procedures. All procedures will be conducted in accordance with proper procedures and within specified timeframes as ordered and directed.
• Assists physicians with procedures as needed.
• Obtains accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history within specified guidelines. Answers patient questions and explains procedures.
• Operates equipment within specifications as demonstrated by observation and audit.
• Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by specified procedure protocols. Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as needed.
• Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department's activities.
• Maintains equipment in efficient operating order. Performs and documents all required quality control testing. Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.
• Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.
• Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.
• Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area. Maintains stock and inventory as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Associates Preferred

EXPERIENCE

• >10 months clinical CT, MRI, Hybrid OR or one (1) year general radiology experience Required or
• 2 years experience in two or more modalities Preferred

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Current and valid American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists and Completion of an ARRT accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program Required
• Radiologic Technologist - License Certified Current and valid AZ CRT Licensure Required
• ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification Radiology Tech License Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (RT) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Current and valid Basic Life Support Certification Required
• Computed Tomography Preceptorship (CTP) - License If CT is secondary modality - CTP (Computed Tomography preceptor license) and achieve ARRT CT registry and AZ CTCT licensure within 1 year. Required
• ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification If MRI is secondary modality - ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification/registry Required
