Job summary

Diley Ridge Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT procedures and diagnostic x-rays with emphasis on image quality and patient care. This part-time, rotating-shift role reports to the Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor and requires independence with minimal supervision.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma and radiologic technology program; ARRT registration or registry eligibility with Ohio license is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma Required; Radiologic Technology program associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• License / Certification: ARRT registered or registry eligible; Valid Ohio Radiologic License; CT/MRI registry preferred
• Experience: 2+ years in imaging preferred
• Effective communication skills
• Current CPR certification required
• Able to perform professional duties with minimal supervision

• Performs a variety of technical and non-technical tasks and direct patient care activities requiring independent judgment and initiative.

Job Qualifications

• License / Certification: Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible. Valid State of Ohio Radiological License required. CT / MRI registry preferred.
• Experience: 2 or more years in imaging preferred

Responsible for entering on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for charges as specified by the Administrative Policy. Ensures a high level of accuracy.

Critical Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of CT / MRI procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
• Performs diagnostic x-ray exams with consistent and optimal image quality.
• Performs a variety of exams and is experienced in at least one modality with minor experience in another or willing to be trained based on licensure.
• Assists with Medical staff duties as possible to maintain workflow through the departments

Other Job Responsibilities

• Not responsible for supervisory duties but may be designated as Acting Supervisor or Take-Charge Supervisor in the absence of the Diagnostic Imaging Lead.
• Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.
• Participates in and coordinates with organizational process to collect and evaluate information about hazards and safety practices that are used to identify safety management issues. Adheres to established policies and procedures, which may include wearing of personal protective equipment.
• Participates in and fosters a performance improvement approach that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities.
• Fulfills on-call coverage requirement and participates in the weekend & holiday rotations.
• Assists in maintaining supplies.
• Accepts other responsibilities as assigned.
