Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform CT and MRI procedures and support general radiology tasks during night shifts at Thompson Peak Medical Center in Scottsdale.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in two modalities, ARRT certification, RT license, and BLS. Responsibilities include patient prep, image quality checks, and collaboration with physicians across the network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in two imaging modalities (CT, MRI, or radiology).Experience in a Hybrid OR acceptable.
• ARRT certification and current RT license required; BLS certification required.
• Sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology procedures in Radiology, CT, MRI or Hybrid OR as assigned.
• Assist physicians during procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain equipment, perform QC tests, and coordinate daily workflow.
• Rotate through department per staffing and volume needs.

Performs high quality procedures that require ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment. Duties include and are not limited to performing routine test, monitoring the quality of tests, and obtaining maintenance service on equipment. This position may require providing technical and imaging support at any HonorHealth facility in the network. Technologist must routinely perform procedures in these modalities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMust perform all functions related to a minimum of two of the following modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.Assists physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines as demonstrated by documentation.Demonstrates proficiency in performing procedures. All procedures will be conducted in accordance with proper procedures and within specified timeframes as ordered and directed.Assists physicians with procedures as needed.Obtains accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history within specified guidelines. Answers patient questions and explains procedures.Operates equipment within specifications as demonstrated by observation and audit.Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by specified procedure protocols. Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as needed.Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department’s activities.Maintains equipment in efficient operating order. Performs and documents all required quality control testing. Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area.
