Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Outpatient Imaging in Germantown, MD seeks a skilled Multi-Modality Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across X-ray, Mammography, and Dexa, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care. You will interact with patients, review orders, and operate imaging systems with strict confidentiality and ALARA compliance.

The role requires MD licensure, BLS, and specialty certifications in addition to AART; a minimum of 5 years’ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred not required.
• 5 years of experience preferred
• AART (RT) and (CT) certified, or MRI Certified or Mammo Certified; Must have at least one specialty certification in addition to AART.
• State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies and identify patients, review orders, and select appropriate protocol.
• Receive patients, explain procedures and address questions or concerns.
• Perform a variety of imaging examinations using established protocols across modalities.
• Document in HIS, RIS, and PACS; reconstruct images and process films.
• Operate imaging equipment per manufacturer specifications and maintain ALARA principles.
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and age-appropriate care across pediatrics to geriatrics.
