Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Jefferson City is seeking an experienced Radiology professional to assist with cardiovascular procedures and specialized imaging, including angio and neuro interventional work.

The role supports radiologists and PAs and requires readiness for evening hours and on-call duties. Primary responsibilities include patient prep, imaging interpretation, equipment setup, contrast administration, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for procedures.
• Reviews medical history, positions patients and cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites as appropriate.
• Interprets, describes and reports test results; recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
• Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area and ensures equipment is properly functioning.
• Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
• Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• May perform point of care testing according to policies and procedures.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
