Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital — St. Louis is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for weekend shift, part-time clinical support in Radiology.

You will perform X-rays, fluoroscopy, portable exams, and bone density assessments, ensuring image quality and safety in a busy department. The role requires completion of a Radiology Technology program and active BLS HCP, ARRT Radiography, and ARRT Bone Density certifications as well as state-specific licensure where applicable.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
• No prior experience required.
• Required licenses: BLS HCP, ARRT Radiography, ARRT Bone Density; state licenses where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patient and provides educational materials.
• Transports patients and positions them for exams.
• Follows radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure.
• Prepares and administers contrast media within scope and regulations.
• Observes patients during procedures and notes any anomalies.
• Ensures high-quality images and accurate patient data in PACS.
• Maintains and checks imaging equipment for proper function.
• Maintains a clean, orderly radiology department.
• May perform limited CT in emergent situations when needed.
• Works with constant alertness and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
