Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology or military equivalent.
• Valid California Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT certification.
• Fluoroscopy permit required and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Rotate assignments within the department to meet needs.
• Process images for each modality and use PACS system.
• Maintain records of exams, dose, and contrast with proper patient identifiers.
• Assist with patient movement and transport as needed.
• Assist in development/optimization of technical factors for radiographic procedures.
• May assist in training students and prepare them for procedures.
• Perform general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties with professional judgment.
• Maintain sterile technique and environmental cleanliness.
• Use first-in, first-out to ensure non-expired supplies.
• Provide radiation protection and ALARA principles for patients.
