Job summary

The US Department of Veterans Affairs in the Omaha area seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Multi-Modality) at the GS-11 level to perform advanced clinical procedures using radioactive materials with a broad scope and complexity.

Candidates must hold NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification and CT certification (NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT)); experience with gamma cameras and PET/CT systems is desirable; duties include patient care, safety, and image optimization across modalities.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; English language proficiency essential.
• Certification: NMTCB or ARRT(N); CT certification (NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT));
• Two certifications are required for multi-modality operation and CT/NM merits.

Responsibilities

• Perform wide range of nuclear medicine procedures with multi-modality scope.
• Maintain safety and radiation protection and document exposures.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment and optimize study quality.
• Provide patient care throughout all procedure stages and respond to emergencies.
