Job description

Scope of Responsibility

Multi-Modality MRI Radiologist Technologists are responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort during examinations, coordinating and performing MRI scans for diagnostic purposes, and providing patient services using applicable modalities.

Key duties include:

• Perform MRI procedures to create 3-dimensional images of tissues, organs, and other body parts.
• Collaborate with radiologists to detect abnormalities and assist in diagnosis.
• Maintain MRI suite safety measures and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety and medical protocols.
• Report abnormalities and ensure timely communication with radiology staff.

Reporting line: Executive Director of Imaging Services and Imaging Supervisor.

Education

• Complete a C.A.H.E.A. approved Radiologic Technology program providing an Associate Degree or a 2-year certificate.

Training and Experience

• Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible (conditional employment if test passed within 1 year).
• MRT in good standing licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
• Maintain American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Maintain ARRT and MRT registries, including required CME.
• Preferred: One year of experience.

Health and Background Requirements

• Employment contingent upon successful completion of immunization records.

Licenses & Certifications

• American Reg Rad Tech (ARRT registered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Radiological Sciences.
• Preferably technical or related training in Radiological Sciences.
• Must possess required licenses and certifications listed above.
