Job description

Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a Multi Modality Tech to join our Dallas, TX location. This position will be either a level 1 or 2 based on candidate experience.

What does the Multi Modality Tech do?

Under general supervision, coordinates and administers radiological procedures with X‑Ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound and related technology. Ensures technical quality of procedures and maintains knowledge of QC, QA and OSHA guidelines. Supports the US Oncology Compliance Program, including Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Performs radiological procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality.
  • Confirms patient history and communicates areas of concern to physicians and others as appropriate.
  • Ensures films and records are properly completed with relevant patient identification data and film labeling requirements.
  • Computes and selects proper technical factors based on patient size, physical condition and suspected pathology.
  • Processes and reviews films to ensure quality and completeness.
  • Hangs films and provides diagnosis‑related information to the physician as needed. Checks equipment to ensure working condition and notifies staff when repairs are needed. Maintains supplies for diagnostic procedures. Posts compliance to all QC and QA issues and adheres to all guidelines. Enters exam completion and charge information into computer.
  • Provides protection for patient and self during all procedures.
  • Follows all proscribed safety standards and ensures the physical comfort and safety of patients during procedures.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
  • Minimum three to five years experience in radiological technology using multiple imaging modalities.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • May require certification in specific modalities.
  • Valid state license in radiology technology.
  • Level 2: Minimum five years experience in radiological technology using multiple imaging modalities (in addition to Level 1 requirements).
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, lifting and pushing patients in wheelchairs/stretchers weighing up to 300 pounds, reaching above shoulder height, sitting/standing for extended periods. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Work Environment

The work environment involves regular exposure to patients, blood, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to perform essential functions.

Long‑Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)

LTIP is an incentive program that typically vests over a three‑year period and is tied to individual performance and operational success. Awards are discretionary, based on position, performance and potential for career growth. LTIP awards are subject to continued employment and governed by the LTIP document.
