Job summary

ABM Industries seeks an Account Manager to oversee janitorial operations across assigned client locations in Amarillo, TX. You will manage staffing, budgets, safety initiatives, and quality control to meet contract requirements and customer expectations.

Responsibilities include building client relationships, coordinating services across accounts, monitoring SLAs, and guiding supervisors and teams. A strong background in facilities management, budgeting, and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; further education preferred.
• 3+ years of management experience in janitorial services, facilities management, or related field.
• Proven experience managing multiple locations and large teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budgeting, labor management, and operational reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and contract retention.
• Serve as primary point of contact for client service requests and operational issues.
• Manage day-to-day janitorial operations across assigned accounts.
• Recruit, train, coach, and supervise supervisors and frontline staff.
• Conduct facility inspections to ensure quality standards and SLAs are met.
• Monitor staffing levels and coordinate hiring efforts.
• Manage labor, supplies, and operating expenses to meet budgets.
• Ensure compliance with policies, client requirements, and safety regulations.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues and customer complaints.
• Maintain payroll, scheduling, attendance, and safety records.
• Conduct customer business reviews and provide operational updates.
