Elephants Delicatessen is hiring for a part-time to full-time, on-call position across Portland locations. The role offers a mix of customer service, barista tasks, and light kitchen duties with shifts from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The job requires a current Oregon Food Handler's card, OLCC permit, and a valid driver’s license, with reliable transportation for travel between locations. Salary ranges from $24.50 to $27.50 per hour plus tips; compensation is hourly non-exempt.

• Deliver warm, helpful customer service and greet and direct guests.
• Handle cash and customer transactions accurately.
• Heat, serve, and hold food at proper temperatures according to health codes.
• Stock and maintain the sales floor, displays, and service areas.
• Prepare espresso drinks, teas, specialty drinks, and alcoholic beverages as needed.
• Set up and break down kitchen lines and grill stations.
• Prep food according to pars and follow proper food storage, labeling, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Assist with dishwashing, bussing tables, sweeping, mopping, cleaning equipment, and waste disposal.
• Work at multiple locations across the Portland area.
• Communicate waste, equipment repair needs, and operational concerns to supervisors.
