Job summary

RTC in Romeoville, IL is seeking a production operator to deliver and remove materials to and from production lines, ensuring safe, timely handling and accurate counts. The role requires PPE compliance, inventory control, and precise material verification in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will train and support associates, maintain production rates, and help resolve bottlenecks while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English.
• Must have basic math and reading skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for the entire work shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and remove materials to and from production lines in a safe and timely manner.
• Control all in-line materials and assist supervisory staff in maintaining adequate stock inventories.
• Verify counts of raw materials and finished goods.
• Responsible for PPE compliance and safety procedures.
• Report potential safety hazards and maintain a neat, safe work area.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and handle scrap materials.
• Set up and run multiple lines or machines.
• Read shop orders and BOMs and understand relocation sheets and labor reporting.
• Help train associates, maintain production rates and resolve bottlenecks.
• Perform other production duties as required.
