Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Texas is seeking a Multi-Licensed Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes. A valid driving record, RME-I, and 3+ years in fire and life safety are required; NICET I+ preferred; the role

Qualifications

• RME-I required.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician/inspector required.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and inspection procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.

This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision.
