Job summary

Idaho Cleanup Project is seeking a Multi-Level Project Controls Specialist to join the Site - RWMC team in Idaho Falls. The role focuses on producing and analyzing schedule and cost status reports, creating EVMS reports, and reviewing project progress.

You will verify data, maintain the PMB, support estimate development, and assist management in project performance meetings. Preferred competencies include CPM scheduling, forecasting, advanced Excel, and experience with EVMS, Baseline Management,

Position Purpose

• Produce and analyze schedule and cost status reports
• Perform data verification/validation
• Create monthly Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reports
• Review project progress
• Utilize project data systems
• Provide estimate development and proposal support
• Maintain the Performance Management Baseline (PMB)
• Support management team at meetings, i.e. Project Performance

Reviews, Project Status Reviews, Monthly Status Reviews, Life-Cycle Baseline meetings, funding meetings, and misc. data calls.

• Support internal DOE, I.G. and GAO audits as required
• Make recommendations for innovative ideas or approaches to processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsible for completion of assigned training.

Qualifications/certifications, Assigned Reading And Required readings

• Provide support for cost savings initiatives.

Responsibilities also include supporting the control account manager (CAM) and project team to develop work package budgets and schedule activities as part of the PMB.

Preferred skills:

• Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling experience.
• Forecasting experience utilizing bottoms-up or estimating approach (Estimate at Completion).
• Cost and data analysis.
• EVMS including Baseline Management and Change Control.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of project team members.
• Advanced Excel experience.
• Familiarity With Deltek Cobra. Oracle Primavera P6, and Deltek CostPoint.

• Maintain assigned reading and required reading as required for the position.
• Perform work in conformance with the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS), Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) principles and functions, and Stop Work Authority.
• Participate in the identification and resolution of health and safety issues through active involvement and support of the employee safety programs.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):

This is a multi-level posting and the successful candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven.

compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, Relevant Experience, And Other Credentials. Applicable Bachelors degree plus:

• Salary Grade 14: 1 year relevant experience.
• Salary Grade 17: 8 years relevant experience.

A combination of experience and education may be substituted for a degree. Bachelors equivalent is 8 years of directly relevant experience.
