Job summary

Addison Group in Austin, TX is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting across multiple affiliated entities. The role focuses on accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger integrity, and inventory accounting support.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online. You will interact with vendors, customers, and management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
• Experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries preferred
• Experience with intercompany accounting a plus

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities (AP/AR, billing, cash application, payments)
• Process vendor invoices, customer billings, ACH, checks, credit card activity, and bank transactions
• Maintain the general ledger with journal entries and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Monitor cash activity and respond to internal reporting requests
• Assist with inventory accounting, PO administration, and related functions
• Prepare AP/AR aging, payout schedules, and master data maintenance
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and operations to resolve discrepancies and collect balances
• Serve as onsite contact for local vendors and process same-day payments as needed
• Support compliance reporting, audits, and internal control initiatives
• Contribute to process improvements and workflow standardization
• Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed
